Electronics are fragile and require a lot of attention when they are being packed. Follow these tips!

Moving Tips 2019 packing electronics

San Diego Movers Helping to Move Your Electronics.

Electronics are essential in our lives and they do not come cheap. Electronics can be the smallest item you own, yet, cost so much. The San Diego movers at We Like To Move It Moving respect the value of your electronics, and are dedicated to ensure their safety.

If you plan on self-packing your electronics, here are some helpful tips to do so safely.

Appropriate Boxes

If you buy a new TV, computer, speakers...etc., our first instinct is to throw away the box. If you know your going to be moving in the near future, try and save the boxes your electronics were sold in. If you do not have your original box, find a box which is a slightly larger than the item. The key to packing an item or multiple items is to make sure the item is snug, without leaving a lot of extra room. At your local San Diego movers, We Like To Move It Movers use bubble wrap, moving blankets, and packing paper to secure the items in a box. You do not want an item moving around and potentially breaking.

Cords

We all know how stressful untangling cords can be and especially trying to figure out where they go. At We Like To Move It Moving, we pack the cords with the corresponding item. If a computer is being packed and there are multiple cords it may be wise to label or color code them and place them in the same box as the computer.

Packing Items

Before placing a bare item in a box, it is recommended to pad or wrap the item with bubble wrap, packing paper, or a small blanket. If your planning on storing your items for a long period of time, we recommend using a bag or a plastic covering to prevent moisture going into the item.
